Brake Light Switch

Hi. I need to replace the Brake Light Switch. I am unable to find the location of this and a procedure on how to replace it. I found many instructions on the WEB, but not for W221. Thanks

Thank you for the information. I guess I have to remove the plastic panel below the dashboard first to have access.

I change the brake light switch, but unfortunately I am having the same issue. My brake light is on all the time, even though the brake is not pressed. Also, car's push-button start will start the ignition without the brake being pressed. So, car is getting a signal that brake is pressed all the time. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? Thanks for your help.

Have someone pull fault codes using MB diagnostics.

Thank you. At the end, it was the Brake Stop Light switch after all. When I installed first, I did not adjust the gray plastic piece that needs to be pressed closer to the brake pedal. Now everything is back to normal. No more permanent brake light constantly on, ESP light no longer comes on and Cruise Control is now functioning once again. All that trouble caused by one defective switch. Thank you for your help.
