the steering going hard, will be as its impacted by the faulty speed information it receives via the ABS system (for the variable assistance)
not sure which n47-5 is if that's the ABS module then its could be a very standard ABS fault common to many manufacturers - oddly more rare on a Mercedes than most others

a very common issue is the brushes in the motor that provides brake pressure for the ESP get dirty and stick causing the motor to misbehave... some times a few light taps with a wooden block will temporarily help and make the light go out....
lots of fun on BMS with this very fault - on the BMW R1200GS you can pull it apart and swap to a ford fiesta brush pack that's far better made !!!
It's problem in the PCB of the ESP control module, I have sent it to electronic shop for repair as well, they open a plastic cover of the ESP module do did something on the circuit print board and it's very quick fix,

most likely your abs sensors are bad or you have a loose connection with the abs sensor in the front wheels.
