What is Airmatic Compressor Mileage on W221?
Mine is fine but was thinking about replacing it before it goes out. Just to clarify, I'm talking about the little air compressor that provides air to the air shocks on the car.
6 bar in 30 seconds is actually plenty for normal use - I met someone on their fourth suspension pump in 80k miles over 4 years from new - they bought another facelift one and next time they had the usual battery light fault on
you must remember its an S class- is supposed to be run on all the money stolen from the slaves - so its free if you're an authorised user
my airmatic compressor is original with over 150k miles, probably wouldn’t be a terrible idea to replace it at this point

Simple experiment for you to try: Take a ruler or measuring tape and record distance from ground to bumpers on all 4 corners after you have driven for a while . Take frequent measurements before and after driving for let’s say 7 days and see what the data tells you. Might not be anything or it might be????

yes it was 4 pumps all OEM fitted to Merc stds... I guess its possible his was in that affected range when one of the rear shocks lose air as they scored the pipes when building the car - TIPS about that
You can just refurbish the vanes - and fit a new filter (its like a baby fuel filter) if you want to get all maintenanced up
I had one at 50k miles - the one that was doing 6 bar in 30 seconds well outside the standards - but sure it would do another 5 years no issues - if you live in a warm dry climate it doesn't do anything - pull the fuse and if you don't put 300lbs in the boot or rear seats it will stay where it should for 6 months
the rear level sensor LINK ROD is a nightmare to REPLACE
yes it was 4 AIRMATIC COMPRESSORS
You can just refurbish the vanes IN YOUR AIR COMPRESSOR - and fit a new filter (its like a baby fuel filter) if you want to get all maintenanced up FOR GOOD MEASURE
I had A NEW AIRMATIC COMPRESSOR
