Illuminated Door Sil installation 2013 S550
I am about to buy one of those illuminated door sil for my S550. Iived in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area. Anyone can point me to an installer? My local MB Dealership wouldn't touch it. Said it's aftermarket. Any help is highly appreciated.

Not sure what you mean. They were offered by Mercedes as an OEM accessory.

It's not. It's sold by Mercedes. I also have a dealer account with Mercedes and have sold these to my customers and sent them to dealerships for install. Give me the name of your service manager and his phone #. This is ridiculous.

Are the parts genuine MB parts with MB part numbers on them? Just curious, are they the ones that say "AMG" or the ones that say "Mercedes-Benz"?

I haven't bought it yet. Just saw a couple on Google, took the pictures and showed it to my MB Service Manager. They showed Mercedes-Benz not AMG. I have the 2103 W221. If you know where I can get a genuine MB one with MB part number I will appreciate it.

@Togar Be careful where you shop, there are plenty of cheap chinese aftermarket parts for these cars out there, that mimic the real thing. Obviously your local dealer would be right to decline installation of the aftermarket stuff. Not sure if the Genuine parts are still available, but see the attached PDF file, it contains the retrofit instructions for the illuminated sills, along with the part numbers that your dealer can order for you. If you show this document to the dealer, they can look it up in their own system using the document number at the upper left corner of the page. Note the parts in this document are for the "AMG" illuminated lettering. I believe there is also a "Mercedes Benz" lettering variant, however I do not have those pn's.
