My Turn - ABS / ESP rubbish on speedo
Last week got the ABS/ESP hit. I've only been recently driving it more and it has been damp/raining/etc but it went away fast.
This morning, fire her up, nailed again. Gave me a chuckle.
What I found interesting is after a couple koeo/koer events warnings are gone. As opposed to the stand on one leg and juggle bowling ***** to clear the code. Power steering wasn't affected on my drive to work. But not fun, because hey, no traction control, it is wet out and well you know you have a S600.
I think I've done 2 out 4 ABS sensors. And given weather, work, life, etc. to pull codes is a luxury at this point. The instrument panel is always a comedy show when you start the car.
first original one died at 55k miles - one of the four replacements died in less than 9k, the next one died within 17k miles,
first original ABS wheel speed sensor - right rear died at 55k miles and 11 years
left rear of the four Merc OEM replacements died in less than 9k miles, and 4 years
right front died within 17k miles of fitment at 7 years,
left front died 100 miles and 40 days after the right front
older part number for the 20 year old ones at the top
