Trunk won't open with key and buttons
Hello there everyone,
My 2011 S550's trunk will not open today with the key fob and the buttons (front by the door, or the 2 in the trunk lid).
Using the key manually works fine.
I hunt around for the fuse and found a reference to fuse 74 (by dash) but it seems to be good.
I simply exchange that one with another 30A to test.
Any other ideas on what else I can try?

This is where MB star Xentry DAS is the best scan tool use, as it can diagnose at a deep level, is this what you will be using? Other tools may work too. Good luck and keep us posted

I had a strange experience with this one today.
Firstly, I have the Autel OBDII tool, which did not pick up any error codes.
(Newbie on these tools, so I might not be doing the correct thing to begin with).
In any case, I opened the trunk manually with the key today, and suddenly everything is working fine.
It turns out that depending on how the key is flipped in the lock by 90 degrees, it will turn off the electronics.
I have no idea how the lock was moved to the "locked" position in the first place.
Now I can reproduce the work/not-work scenario by simply turning in the key in the lock.
