Distronic / Parking radar
I just Purchased an 08 S63, the car is beautiful. the only thing that i have an issue with is the parking / distronic not working. Using Xentry / Das i cleared all the codes. the only code that appears as "Cuurent" is 6902 A86/1 front range radar sensor, can bus off. Is there any way to diagnose this further without pulling the bumper off?

I'm thinking it could be anything - sounds like an odd message you don't turn canbus systems on and off
a 2008 car should have 4 visible ultrasonic parking sensors front and rear - little circles in the bumpers - so parking sensors shouldn't be linked to a cruise fault?
do you think it has the correct bumpers on the car ?
do you know if its been accident damaged and incorrectly repaired ?
does your cruise control have ANY functionality ?
distronic plus is an option (most of the world except japan who got just distronic), and should have one big radar behind the front grill and then two small radars hidden behind the bumper - in early cars these did the front parking duties too

go on a chassis decode site and get the options and post the lot here - 2007 moved to ultrasonic stuff - its possible the CGW of a 2008 car can't make the earlier set up work

year of modification.... aka build year 807 I guess ? I did ask POST ALL
I don't have access to mine at present... but later cars with ultrasonic sensors get a different set up - if you have a muddle up with an old bumper and a later build car it will have issues

I'm not sure there's a fix apparently the radars get confused when they encounter other radar signals and randomly turn off because of that. I would be very very happy if somebody found a solution or a retrofit as well.
