In my 2012 there are no sensors on top of the struts. Just changed rear left strut and checked.

if there are sensors at the top of struts (close to them) they must be on the shelf that needs to be opened for access.

 

I wonder if this bit is like Air tragic level sensors - ONE rear sensor and TWO front

hey - this could make make sense - and why the car goes silly waiting at the lights - one rear does the front rear height ! and the two fronts do left and right ride height

A variation in the transmitted values between affected and unaffected sensors can result in an uneven front suspension. A warning will show in the IC. This condition may lead to unexpected body movements at the front axle that can adversely affect directional stability. Dealer will replace the sensors.
