Car Wash Hassles

I already have the left front door trim from my last hassle with a car wash. I just need the Chrome Grill part number.
Many thanks.

MB A2218800683 ???? its going to be more money than you can believe
the black plastic bit is $380 for one version
MB A2218880011 or this cheap one at $169

And if I did make an insurance claim, they would probably total the car since it is 19 years old. I think the local Carvana last offer (unsolicited!) was $6500.
$20 car wash......
prices converted to US$, just been told my bike that was 30k new - 5 years in, still almost as good as new condition and only 10 k miles & they'll give me 9k for it... of course its German so basically ready for the scrapper....
if you thought V12 coil packs were fragile BMW have taken that idea on by some margin and if they make 20k miles its an odd one
even Honda bike's are a joke now, - and a 21year old Toyota's goes for the same prices as a 3 year old one

Grill is cracked, but years ago looked at the price and it was an "Oof" moment.
Sorry can't help, just sympathizing.

Not so much on the chrome grille. The Chinese parts at $92, $129, and $215 all did not fit mostly because of the round radar sensor in the nose of my S600. Only the $215 item had a square space for the sensor, but the proverbial round sensor won't fit inside the square hole. So I went to OEM parts and the prices ran from $754 to $1015 which is indeed a religious experience for plastic parts. And I wonder how much labor to swap the OEM part. It looked very fiddly with about 20 little nuts and bolts.
This may end up an insurance claim yet!

I bought a power washer on Ebay and I plan to do most of my car washes at home from now on.

were you honest with your insurance company or you just wanna go after a car wash that likely had a sign that said “if your parts are falling off your car and cracking and you’ve been in an accident, please don’t come in this facility and cause us problems”
as an FYI, the power washer you got might be stronger than the Jets at the car wash so you might want to research who you’re gonna sue when the pressure washer blows off your previously broken parts.
if your car is under cared for and crappy and the parts are cracked and falling off, maybe you should just hand wash it and not try to go after small businesses for your lack of maintenance.
