Hello guy's. New member s550 w221 anyone have remote diagnostics? Smartlink B?
SubscribeHey everyone. Hoping to find someone along my journey to help me with some relatively common issues with my 2010 S550 4MATIC. It started at first an underlying low voltage demon that led me to where I am currently. The low voltage caused the ISM to be locked in park. The Redundancy System For DIRECT SELECT Was activated There Is A Signal Above The Permissible Limit Value of 100. I've taken well care of that low voltage pain in the headlights 2 new batteries ( the main in front engine compartment and the mini aux behind driver side dash. As tackling this dilemma on my own I did the exact same thing as at least one other unfortunate go getter ibha e seen on post ls here lol......and the CGW was accidentally cleared. Had a remote diagnostics session, and the CGW has been programmed. The ISM issue still remains and the Adaptive breaking also need coding now for some reason, assuming the CGW beingclearedis responsible. So I have everything I need to accept Smartlink services. I have a Launch X-431 Pad7 Elite with Smartlink C super remote function activated. Also have a PMBC-100-LK battery supply unit for a smooth and ease of mind programming process.

disconnect the battery for 20 mins and reconnect with it fully charged - CGWs can easily get muddled and forget what to do - battery reset does just that
then with battery support recheck the fault codes...
the ISMs die - its a std feature at around 100k miles - they have a secret time switch built in

I would have to check it out in person to know more but I'm sure it's something I could figure out with the correct knowledge and electrical equipment
If you have Xentry, you can simply go into CGW and make sure the correct boxes in Variant coding are checked. Most options are tick on/tick off.
