Good day. I have a really clean '13, and my sun roof works great. Hear some issues. Is there a good process for maintenance ? Just keeping the track lubed?
Clean tracks, lube, drains like Jap said. There's a procedure for cleaning and lubing in WIS.
Also, could you do me a favor and get a good, close picture of the front glass section where it mates to the windshield. Mine cracked and I replaced it myself. It was a scary procedure and the glass was $600. I did a pretty good job cutting and cleaning out the old one, bought windshield adhesive and primer and the gun to install it but I screwed up the alignment by a few mm and I'm pissed. No one else but me would notice it, but I'm actually considering smashing out the new one and starting over. I really don't want to but the car is too perfect otherwise and it will eat at my brain forever. I can post a pic if it helps to understand.

Use the special lube. Mercedes wanted $100 for a huge can probably a kilo of lube which is so crazy. You can get 1 ounce on eBay from a really clever guy who bought the big can and broke it up into one ounce portions which is more than enough for several cleanings. I paid like $10 a few years ago. Use a clean q-tip and cover the channels lightly and also do the rollers. If you need to service the motors, consider doing both the pano roof and the sunscreen motors at the same time. Ask me how I know!
@senecat can you cut it out with a cheese wire and try again - there is quite a market for used screens ( so they manage it)
That's a great idea, thanks! I looked at a bunch of glass on eBay but could never find one that didn't have a chopped up rubber edge gasket or scratches or whatever so I just bought a brand new one. I wasn't sure how they were cutting out the old ones, but it almost always seemed the edge gasket became a victim to whatever method they were using. I'll take a closer look at mine and since I now know what lies underneath I might be able to come up with a plan to cut out and re-try.
If not then just smash out the old while crying the whole time and replace with another new one.
