Love to stop discussing this as well. I am also not taking shots at you but your statements. The problem stems from your continued comments that high speed in Germany is just unsafe and highly irresponsible. This is simply false
Mercedes set itself the arbitrary limit of 155mph for its sedans because it considers it the appropriate and safe limit. It's AMG models are limited to 186-200mph for the same reason; they are considered to be safe to drive at that speed.
For the US it reduced the speed limit to 130mph for reasons mentioned earlier in the thread...
