Just got the notification from my dealer, and as it looks, there's no delay on this change. 
So it's official now......and with no pics of this setup anywhere, really makes this risky as far as how it will look, but fun all at the same time!

It'll be interesting to see the "silverish" wood with creme/black. Hope you love it.
We have the porcelain/black nappa in our SL with black Ash and it looks stunning. Stays clean too and I am wearing jeans a lot in the car.

I did, but the picture is so generic it won't give an accurate presentation of what the real-life look is. But one thing I noticed about MBUSA config is that it won't allow you to put Ash with most of the interior options. This tells me that MB is only allowing Ash to be combined with the setups they thought were acceptable or "looked-good-enough" to represent their flagship. That observation brings me a small level of comfort.

I recently sat in a S550 with the gray interior with the Ash. Not enough of a contrast for me.

Make sure you use Google Chrome. It will convert to English, which helps when choosing options . Works amazing. For the S63, I can choose exterior CF, red calipers, etc and it will show the pics full screen in hi-res, with options.

Thanks guys for the links. The configurators of Germany and Canada are MUCH better than the USA! I can now visualize my combo......it just may work!

The german site has given me the best perspective I can get so far....
Given the pics I've seen on the net so far of Ash, it won't look this "playful" in real life, but the simulator does at least allow you to see how the 3 different colors with mesh. I know some won't be a fan of this, but for some weird reason....I like it.

One observation I have is that it looks like the ash clashes with the slightly lighter interior on the panel above the glove box. However, I cannot tell if that is just because my mind expects to see wood there and the ash does not say wood to me. If your goal is to create a very individual look, you will do it with this. I do not see too many folks getting this combo.
Of course, this is all terribly subjective and there is no right answer. If it strikes you as something you want, update that order!

Thanks TomS. I see what you are talking about with the clash. Problem is, these pictures have so many "shadow" effects that it's difficult to see the blending....on top of that, none of the wood colors can be accurately drawn to match their true look.
I sent all the simulations of different color combos to my wife this morning on her job, and she text me back that she wants to try the silver because of the "individual" look that you described. She agrees that this is gonna be very risky, but she says she tired of us doing our S classes all the same way everytime. She wants to do something different on this one.....

In the past, yes. But since the wood has virtually disappeared from the center and there will be more upscale interior options coming than before (aka the Maybach model), I'll wait and see.
Already like the leather headliner in the S65 versus the usual ultra suede

Same idea here.
Since originally ordering our car that is the interior combo I selected. I think it is so unique and the silver against the black leather pieces just pops. I also have the executive rear seat so I am interested to see how it looks.
