screeching brakes
My salesman just informed me that MB is aware of the issue. Their sales manager's car had exactly the same problem and MB decided that the correct fix is replacement of all 4 brake rotors and pads. They are coming from Germany, so it will take a week or so to get here. I asked about ceramic pads, and they want to do the recommended fix first.

2013 S 550 4 matic all four wheels screeching ! when I slow down and gently hit the brakes to a gradual stop.... The dealer stated it was pads, change all four good for 2 days. Then dealer changed the rotors on all four good for 300 miles ... This is very frustrating.

My car starting screeching at 12,000 miles. Dealer told me I needed new brakes and rotors in the front?? I expressed my displeasure/shock and he said "the S Class uses high performance brakes - not unusual they go after 10,000 miles."
If that is true, I'm heading back to my LS 460 when this lease is up. That is nuts. What's more crazy is they wanted $1300 for new brakes/rotors in the front. Told them a big NO. Have other's had these experiences and these crazy prices? Haven't gotten a chance to call midas.

- Brake pads are covered against defects in material or workmanship for 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever occurs first.
- Brake discs are covered against defects in material or workmanship for 24 months or 31,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

I must say, I find the service to be quite lacking. I took my car to a different dealer for the 10,000 mile service and they made I seem like they were doing me a favor. And this dealer is trying to hustle me

i have been complaining about the squealing brakes since 2,500 miles. I am hoping that they will do something about it tomorrow at the service department. I am at 15,000 miles not and 24 months.
