S65 vs S550 0-60MPH
Does anyone else find it really interesting that a twin turbo standard S550 does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds but a twin turbo V12 does it in 4.2 seconds. I mean your paying almost 100k more just for .6 seconds faster 0-60. Would one even notice?
For perspective the fastest thing I drove was a Ferrari 458 with a 0-60 of 3.3 seconds and my daily driver has a 0-60 of 6 seconds. Yes I felt the difference with that but would one really see it with .6 seconds?
P.S just seems very impressive that the stock S550 has a 4.8
Thoughts?

It is something like spending hundreds of thousands of dollars extra for a muscle car that can go twice as fast, but you can't legally drive it anywhere except at a track. Some people just have to have it, even though there is no practical use for it, and they just want the bragging rights. Unfortunately, the guy beside you is clueless or doesn't care. I guess if you cannot afford it, why not; it keeps the economy moving.

I am actually surprised that the car seems to come in at 4.8 and not less.
Our SL is advertised at 4.5 but is actually running at 3.9 to 4.1 (mags). Car is underrated as dyno results show.
Would be nice to have somebody with a RWD model dyno the car as well and maybe do some measured runs.

To simply look at the 0-60 times is to miss the point of the S65. Driving a V12 is a whole different experience and the S65 usually tests faster than the factory estimates.
