Wow great build! Love how many options you got! Looks like you went for everything except the carbon ceramic brakes and the Exclusive interior. The CF exterior trim really looks great. For the CF side skirts is the CF element one piece or two? I noticed on the non CF S side skirts it's in two pieces, so just curious about that.

Great car Tom. I wanted to know your thinking on getting your fully loaded 63 over a fully loaded S600 for about $12k less. Just curious.

From my standpoint...I would take the S63 simply because it also happens to be an AMG. You get an overall sportier look with it whichI like. Also, out of all S class variants, the S63 has the fastest 0-60 acceleration time in just under 4 seconds since it has all wheel drive and a Bi-Turbo V8. Coming from a F10 M5, it was somewhat important to me not to lose acceleration performance.

Quite honestly though, if you value comfort above everything else, you may want to go with the S600 since it has Magic Body Control.

In the end, you won't be disappointed with either choice

Hi TC,

Great pics! I think I am about to order mine and I'm curious...does the 2015 S63 have Apple's CarPlay system in it? I know the coupe is supposed to, but I have been unable to find any information about whether or not the sedan does. Also, is the 3D sound system actually worth the extra $6400?

With CarPlay, I'm not completely sure if it is available although I don't believe it is since I see no options for it in the Command system. I unfortunately wouldn't be able to test either way since I have a HTC One M8 phone.

As for the upgraded Burmester 3D Sound system, it is worth every penny. I've heard the audio from both non-high end models and my vehicle and it is quite a difference especially when setting the audio profile for your listening device to "3D". Please be mindful that you do lose a bit of trunk space with this system on the left side of the trunk due to the subwoofer.

Also, if you happen to opt for the fridge option, you lose quite a bit of space with that as well.

I am a little disapointed that CarPlay is available on the S63 coupe and C-Class vehicles but not on the flagship sedans. But that obviously won't keep me from ordering. I also found this indicating that MB is working on a retrofit solution, so that tempers my annoyance somewhat.

Awesome, I am glad to hear this. It's on the list

. Sounds like I'm not going to have much trunk space, because at this price point (by far the most expensive car I've ever bought) I want my fridge and my 3D sound system

Carplay has been delayed across the board in general. The C-Classes that are coming out right now don't have them.

Fridge is also removable for when you need more space.

Haha, I WISH that were my car! I quoted and retagged Tomcat's pics so they would be visible within the thread.

Argh, I have a policy of not buying cars in the first model year and it frustrates me to see all the great updates that are coming already with my car not even 9 months old.
