Customized Special Order 2015 S550 - The wait begins
This will delay your production date by approximately 6-8 weeks, in addition to your already scheduled production date, a $2,500 PA1 custom order charge and then, whatever MB charges you to make the change.
This is the retrofit for the trunk that MB has for a spare.
The dealer has agreed to swap the RFT for either Michelin or Bridgestone conventional tires, prior to delivery. They even seem open to providing the spare & jack, but the factory in Germany is telling them that these items are "on hold," with no further explanation. I contacted MB Customer Care and opened a case. I forwarded them a copy of this Retrofit document, so we will see what they come up with. I have told the dealer that I will accept the sealant/compressor kit on a temporary basis, but will insist on a written guarantee that I will get the spare & jack, prior to me taking delivery. Should be interesting.

When I open my car door, the full display comes on. The circular rings forming only happen when you turn the car off, leave the door open, allow the display to go black, and then close the door.
I can't get it to do that any other time.
At what point in the startup does this happen in your car?
What I did notice once my car is off for a longer period of time, is that when I open the door, the rings light up a split second before the rest of the display, but it does not do that forming pattern that is in clip I posted.
Wonder if this is a MY15 change. Does anyone with MY15 experience the circular rings forming on startup.

This really shows off the designo Mocha Black paint:
The rich Auburn Brown leather:
My first time seeing Night View Assist in action. The image is very clear and it was still light outside.
I'll let LovinMercedes tell you the story about these two S550 sport w/ 20" both finished in designo Mocha Black.
Nut brown interior:

I met xxGenericSNxx in the lobby of my building and we proceeded to the valet area to wait for them to bring up my car. Then, from a distance, we saw this Mocha Black S550, which for a second, I thought was mine.
Then I realized that this car was pretty dirty, which mine never is. We looked inside, and saw it had a nut brown interior. Not my car, but certainly too close for comfort to even be sitting in valet at my building. This car needed to go.
I asked the valet manger when this car was leaving and he told me it belonged to someone else in the building. That was not good news. Another Mocha Black 2015 S550 with 20 inch wheels in the same building as me, and with a Nut Brown interior. How could that be? It didn't have very many options though.
Well, it is true, so I have to live with it. Thankfully, I have the Auburn Brown interior.
It was actually quite interesting to see the two cars right next to each other. You really see the difference between the two brown interiors. I have always liked the Nut Brown interior but, next to each other, you can really see how rich the Auburn Brown looks, and how it takes luxury to the next level. You can also see the difference with my custom leather patterns and how that looks compared to the standard leather color patterns.
At least I can now say my car now has a brother, although not quite as handsome.
However, he really needs a shower and his insides are filthy, as you can see from the picture. Not a very good example for the family.

Mine were custom ordered to match the interior, which if you look closely in the picture, they do not. Must have been some mix-up in the leather.
I am having them re-made in the Auburn.

Before, it was just the C, E and M in their print media and on the MBUSA website, but they have now included the S class. Interesting however, that they have not updated MBUSA website, only print media.
Must be a year end push for volume.

I was at Mercecdes Benz Manhattan today and saw a new S65 AMG fully loaded - with all the goodies included the executive rear seat package. (It was actually the same color combo as yours - pretty much an identical car to yours. I felt like I Too had seen your car in person.
$227,000
My question. The passenger rear seat - with the reclining seat and foot rest. I sat in the back seat there - and reclined my seat - and pushed the front passenger seat up all the way to the front. I then extended the leg / foot rest to the maximum stretched position. I sat normally in the seat.
There's NO room for my legs. Zero. They don't lay straight - they are bent at a serious angle with the bottom of my shoes hitting the back of the front passenger seat.
For myself ( i am 5 10) would not be able to sit back there with my legs outstretched.
What about yours?

That's interesting! West coast "folks" must get a better deal on S Class Cars. I am in PA. The MBUSA site does not list the $4000 S Class incentive. They must have regionalized which region sees the $4000 incentive. TRICKY!
