A minor issue

Do any of you have an issue with the wipers being too noisy or squeeking a little? Mine do make a bit of an annoying noise that I don't think is normal. I read somewhere (maybe in the owners manual) that this could be the result after you bring the car through a car wash. On mine the noise does seem to lessen and occasionally disappear altogether if the wipers are running for quite a while in the rain. I am interested to hear your experience with this. Maybe I have a faulty wiper, who knows.

Sounds to me like the blades are defective. I have had this exact same issue and new blades solved the problem.

I think you are correct. I'm going to call my sales guy and see what he says. I bought the car from the Kansas City dealer, but I imagine the local dealer could replace the blades.

Well, I just had the blades replaced. Unfortunately, the little noise is still there. Btw, the blades cost $154 but they are under warranty. It must have something to due with some sort of film on the windshield. I'll have to do more testing when it rains.

Tires, wheel alignment & balancing, brake pads, glass, wiper blades & inserts are normally covered for 1 year/12,000 miles. Given the nature of your complaint when replacing the blades they should have checked the wiper arms for proper angle using angle gauge.

I love it! The cost of owning our great MB cars. I just had the Ford dealer replace my wipers on my 2012 Ford F150 truck and it was $19.95. Just a bit of a difference.

BeanTrader--Sorry in advance for being completely off topic.

The obvious question--do you trade beans? I ask this question since I grew up in North Dakota and lived in Minnesota before moving to PA 25 years ago. While in college (many years ago) I interned with a company called Cargill and learned about trading coffee beans and a number of other things on their Markets trading floor.

The short answer is yes! I have been trading various commodities for many years. My profession is meteorology and I found out a long time ago that I have a big advantage trading weather related commodities.

When I signed up for this site, I was trying to think of something original to call myself and I just came up with BeanTrader.

No luck. I just cleaned the window with Griots window cleaner and if anything the sound is louder. I actually think that it's so clean that the rubber blade sort of sticks to the window surface. I'm lost on this. When I went to the local dealer today to replace the blades the service guy tried to test a 2015 S550 in the showroom but for whatever reason, those wipers would not work at all. I'll visit there again tomorrow to see if he will test another S550 with the wipers on.
