Hi everyone.. For whatever reason the map doesn't display any POI icon beside gas stations and Mercedes dealership at any zoom level!.. Any way to fix it? I have tried selecting all, default and customized POI with no luck.

I don't know what you should do but I've downloaded speed camera info to a an SD card and now Navi shows those icons and even gives a warning tone when approaching the camera. If it works for the speed cameras, it should work for other personal POI too.

Did you put the data to the correct folder?

Can you tell me where you can download the speed camera info and how you load that into your NAVI system? I don't have my car yet as it is being shipped via the European Delivery program...but do want to know more about this feature. Thanks.

I'm talking about the standard POI that came with the navigation like hotels, airports and restaurant. They are just not showing on the map!!

I do see the POI icons on my map.

I've got another question about the icons. On some of my icons (but not all), there is a little something on the bottom right corner of the icon. Looks like three tiny square boxes, or a "..." trailing off at an angle.

Anyone have any idea what those are?

Will have to look at this at the car. My preference is to avoid most of these icons. Odd if you have configured COMAND properly to show a set of icons (even all) and you still do not see any.

Are both cars the same MY, I mean yours and DBGator's who can see those icons?

EDIT: just checked at the car and if I activate all POI icons, the display becomes flooded with icons.

This seems a bit off topic since the original issue was not only personal POI icons but shortly: many websites provide speed camera info, some are private and provide the info for free. Google should help. I'm using the MB POI loader application to build the memory card files.

Thank you, I'll have to take it in one day to be looked at. Sometimes it is nice to see if there is a coffee shop for example in the area without having to go through the hassle of doing a search.

DBGator, I have been searching for this same info. I have figured out many of the icons, but not the meaning of those three little squares hanging off the lower right corner of various types of icons. Did you have any luck in finding out?
