Does anyone know where tweeters and other speakers are in the new coupe when high end 3 D audio is ordered?

I can't find much info on the high end 3 D audio system in the coupe.

 

Go to YouTube or the MB site and look at the videos and pictures of the interior. I'd also check out the sedan as the front portion of the interior seems pretty close. Here's a link to start you off:

3D audio in sedan and coupe have different locations. I had the sedan so I know where they were. There is not a lot of information on the coupe. Since the doors are frameless there are no tweeters in the door.

I guess I will wait for my coupe to come.

 

Sorry. You obviously know more about this than I do. I thought some of the early interior pics would reveal the info you were seeking.

 

It's ok. It's sad MB hasn't released much info on options.

 

I was wondering the exact same thing especially since there's no speakers in the mirror triangles. I was wondering if the S Coupe also has some cool speakers that are motorized on the high end option.

 

I don't think they are motorized because I don't know where they would be. On website it's listed as having same number of speakers as the sedan. Also pics don't show the ceiling speaker either so I am confused.

My coupe is built and should be at the port waiting for a ship. We will find out in few weeks how much the high end audio system is and where the speakers are.

 

Does anyone have the latest Dealer Order Guide for the S Class Coupe or the S Class AMG Coupe?

I have the June 16 one but the latest is from Sept 8

 

Am told (at least late last wk by my dealer) no newer S Coupe ord guide is avail

But from the early 8/14 S65/63 ord guide I (and abt 10-15 other guys ordering S65 Coupes at Autobahn and BevHills) fig'd out that the chrome grille of 65Coupe is rather tacky (we saw live in SF the fugly 65Coupe that MBUSA sent to PebbBch: abt as fugly as one could spec: blk w/crappiest poss wheels, urine-colored leather, burl walnut interior and wood steering wheel: any poss buyers are dead....even 80+yo plutocrats these days want to pretend they're younger; not embarrass the grandkids; and want better-spec'd 65s)....and can opt for blacked out lower grille/flics (a new option on 65sedan)

Also, IIRC, can now opt for S65 sedan w/a 3-spoke steering wheel ala Coupe; thankfully, they allow one to spec a proper, not fugly, stg wheel on S65 sedan

MBUSA has been yo-yo-ing various poss color choices on paints/leathers/build timing (doing a grt job really angering many repeat 65 buyers) so I suspect they've stopped updating the ord guides while they sort out what choices are really avail (at any cost) in MY15

MBUSA would claim can do bengal red or classic red leather on 65 and then would back-track, etc etc; and they chose some fugly designo colors when many repeat 65 buyers just want graphite or plat blk, not matte crap, not fugly browns

But MBUSA seems clueless re: what it wants to deliv and lacks any understanding of what repeat 65 buyers in SF or BH prefer, rather difft vs tacky choices of some idiot committee at MB/AMG that came up w/the current useless color/leather choices, whether std or designo

 

The wait for this car to show up at the dealership has been painful. MBUSA needs to at least put it online now. Gee whiz!

Did they announce prices yet? I placed an order in April, and still have no clue how much it will be. Called my dealer 1000 times, he told release date is 14th of October

 

Prices have been released. I received my printout with MSRP today. The base is $160,900.

 

I completely agree.

 

I checked the Netstar S65 sedan ordering system as of yesterday. Clearly, there is no option for a 3-spoke steering wheel. Maybe it is coming later.
