New color (Emerald Green) on S-class sedan
They say green is making a comeback...
Well, I visited EuroMotorcars in Bethesda this past weekend and the dealership had a fully loaded, 2014 S550 Sedan in Emerald Green, the new color that debuted on the S-class coupe. It's a beautiful color. I only took one photo to show the color, as from a distance or in the wrong lighting, the car looks black. Now only if MB offered the saddle leather color that is available on the coupe (I think nut brown is the closest color available on the sedan).
***Update: just ran across the car on eBay and apparently the color may have been special ordered for the car.

So would I. In comparison, many higher cost cars {Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin} basically allow customers to paint the car any way they want from a pallet of about 30 standard colors, and an extra cost option whereby the customer sends in a painted sample and the factory matches the car to the given sample.
In particular, I wanted my S600 to be Rossa Corsa from the Ferrari paint book and had to settle for Diamond White.
Whatever happened to the concept that the customer is right?

My 1994 Q45 was this color w/a much lighter interior, probably closer to Merc's Porcelain. I loved the combination back then and still like it now.
I'm glad I DIDN'T see this car before placing the order for my E350 -- I probably would have bought this instead.

The one downside about this S is its a MY2014. So no touchpad and heads up display.

I also would like to more color choices not just blacks and greys. I had to special order my S550 just to get ruby-black, something a bit different. I really do like the emerald green . . .

Huge fan of emerald green. There are not too many of those, but it's a classy color.
Also, if you get in touch with the right manager you can order any MBZ color whether it is discontinued or in production. If anyone needs assistance special ordering a color, we can help!
