You need a new tire.

You dont need an alignment after a tire leak, just balancing.

There is no need to align a car for this repair, but has been said on the forum, I also would second guess their service. A new tire is not necessarily needed but who knows what procedure was used in the installation of the patch.
Find a reputable tire shop for your future needs. 51 pounds is no where professional, wonder what this idiot used for a gauge??
Spend some cash on a decent tire pressure gauge, they come in handy. Picked up a small one that has a magnet on the back that sticks on the inside of the gas tank flap. Always there and ready to be used.

I'd probably take it to a reputable tire shop to have it checked.
FWIW, there is a difference between disposable funds and wasted money.
Patching a tire correctly is perfectly legitimate and would not cause the issues in the OP. Unless you are tracking or doing regular 200mph blasts, a patched tire is absolutely fine. Why spend $350 when you don't have to?

Yes a patched tire is safe as long as it was done correctly. But also as stated if you run high speeds a foreign object on the road will cause just as much damage to a new tire as it will a patched tire. You never know when traveling high speed just what is in front of you, its not like a race track where the same pavement keeps coming back.

Not taking that risk for $350. I used to work in a high-end tire shop. I know what happens, even at the better places.
There are lots of places in your car where things can go wrong without significant danger. Your tires are not one of them.
