Just placed my order for 2015 S550 long wheel base with an expected delivery of mid-June. The wait is already killing me!

This is my third Mercedes from this dealership, so I got a tiny loyalty discount off the list price. It's not much, but my service advisor showed me all other customer S-Class order sheets where they didn't get a single cent discount.

I'm in Canada, so my options & packages are gonna be a bit different.

sounds beautiful! i just got mine about three weeks ago and is very similar to yours. inside anyway. mine is lunar blue but the interiour is exactly as yours - crystal grey seashell exclusive nappa with burl walnut. if you go to the "222 pictures thread" (started by hyperion667) you can see some shots of my car - mostly inside - to give you a "real life" look at what yours will look like inside. it's stunning. more handsome than i thought it would be really. and the dinamica suede headliner is killer!

also - palladium silver is indeed being replaced with selenite grey (or something like that) in '16; the new color is more grey and less brown than the palladium silver.

enjoy the wait. after all - anticipation is 3/4 of anything in life. yay!

I initially ordered a 2016 in Selenite Grey, but that color production doesn't start until October 1. So that means I would have gotten the car in the middle of winter, and an excruciating 8 month wait.

So I changed it to a 2015 model with the exact same packages & options, but in Palladium Silver; which was the original color I wanted anyways.

Actually... it was because of your interior pics that I decided to order Crystal/Seashell Grey!

I knew I didn't want an interior that was too dark or too light, so that cut out black, porcelain, and nut brown, and left me with Silk Beige only. The dealer didn't have a Crystal Grey interior to show me, but did have a Silk Beige customer car. I saw the Silk Beige S Class and wasn't completely in love with it, but knew I didn't want the other colors.

The online configurator shows the Crystal/Seashell Grey as being really grey; like a bad 90s GM interior. But once I saw your pics, I realized it was a middle ground between Porcelain & Silk Beige and went with that.

Well good luck with your new steed when you get it. I am absolutely baffled that you mentioned that this is your 3rd car from the same dealer and they gave you a tiny discount. I live in the USA in NJ and my MB dealer is trying to sell me a brand new 2015 S550, ordering it with whatever way I want it and the discount is 8.5% off list, and this dealer's regular discount to anybody is 7%. I think the Canadian dollar is still on par with our US dollar, I think you might want to shop the car if there is still time for you to do so.

When it comes to the S Class & AMG models, there are no huge discounts or mark downs in Canada, because there are so few dealers. In my province, there are only 4 dealers. Compare that with 14 dealers in New Jersey state alone. And I think the total dealerships across Canada is less than 40.

Even if there are multiple dealerships, usually they're owned by the same dealer group. No competition = no discount.

Now if you want a C/GLK/ML.... tons and tons of discounts/incentives on those cars, because they order in hundreds for inventory. Rightfully so, because those 3 are their biggest money makers in Canada, and every Joe Blow seems to be driving one in Canada.
