I can't seem to be able to turn on the high beams manually. I leave the lights in the auto settings. The high beam assist works and I can flash the high beams. But the stalk doesn't move beyond the resistance point like it's supposed to to turn on the high beams. What am I missing here. Help.

Isn't that normal behavior?
Pushing the stalk forward means high beams are on. If you want to have them automatic, you leave them in the forward position and enable automatic high beam in the instrument cluster menu.
Disable it and you have your manual high beam.
I have to push the stalk forward and hold it there to keep the high beams on. I just went for a drive again. Same thing. Manual says push backwards past the resistant to turn on high beams. But there is no past resistance point. ?? When I'm on a dark neighborhood street I want to turn on my high beams and keep them on with out holding the stalk forward. I'm still not understanding this?
