Could someone please tell me what the latest version of the navigation dvd for the 2014 s550 is?

I picked up a CPO in July, 2015, and the dealer is telling me that there have been no updates for this model since it came out. I find that hard to believe.

Call the parts dept at a different MB dealer and ask to buy the most recent DVD, see what version he quotes

 

I think the latest update is 5.1.

I thought the latest version was 5.1 - my car came with 2013 (v3.0?). The dealer ordered the usb, and I took it in yesterday for the install. I got a call at the end of the day that the car version was the latest available. After talking to the foreman, I am now told that the latest version is 6.0 and they will order that and let me know when to bring the car in.

If someone with a 2014 has updated their maps recently, please post which version that was. Thanks.

I am having my update installed tomorrow. The part# on my order is Q-6-46-0336 NTG5 2 navigation update. 2015/2016 V6.0

I just had the update done. It is version 5.1. I was charged $154.00

 

Wow! My dealer quoted $435 including labor. I called the other two dealers in town, and both said the update is $249 plus tax, and labor is $70. That is still $335.

The labor of $70 seems reasonable given the 40 minute install time. This means they are overcharging for the software - I assume yours cost in the neighborhood of $75?

 

They only charged me for the part. The labor was no charge. I think it was because initially they thought I could do the update myself like I used to be able to do on the W221.
