Well, I'm just not an AMG guy. I don't need or want the extra horsepower or the stiffer suspension. With the lack of attractive colors for the Cabriolet, both inside and out, I think the new SL will be more my speed.

Well today, within one hour, I sold my '2004 SL500 and my 2010 E350 Sedan, to two, separate, private buyers. Sooooooo, thinking more seriously about the new SL, but am waiting to see the new S550 Cab in person.

burmester stereo on s class convertible
Does anyone know if the hi end burmester has the subwoofer in the left side of the truck like the sedan and coupe? It destroys the trunk for capacity.

I certainly don't know, but with convertibles, trunk space is, if anything, usually less than in a coupe. In addition, convertibles usually have additional bracing for structural rigidity, so if anything, there are probably fewer places to put things like subwoofers, refrigerators, etc. I would bet, big time, that it's in the trunk, like in the coupe and that the trunk, overall, is smaller than in the coupe.

The Coupe has about 14.1 Cubic feet (400L) of trunk space vs. the Cabrio's 12.3 Cubic feet (350L) of trunk space.

To those who have ordered, where did you land price wise on the S63 cabriolet? Msrp or otherwise?
I am both happy and angered to have found this thread, my dealer has had a deposit from me for a "1st" position order slot since the vehicle was announced and has not contacted to move forward. Any sales associates hungrier?

Any idea when the order books open for the S63 Coupe ? Dealer is holding a tentative deposit but last time we spoke (a few weeks ago) there were still no build slots open for MY17.

I don't see why your dealer can't place an order for a '17 S63 Coupe. There are still many '16 S63 Coupes around. Have you thought to ask your dealer to find one of these for you?

My CLS63-S is leased through mid-November so I have time, figured I might as well get a MY17. I don't expect much change - from the S Cabriolet DOG, there seems to be a new P60 Exterior Night Styling Package and some upholstery changes, a new Porcelain/Deep Sea Blue and Crystal Grey is now paired with Seashell Grey instead of black on the AMG models. I'm hoping the latter will be specific to the cabriolet though as I am wanting the Crystal Grey / Black.

I could and there perhaps might still be a MY16 build slot available. I guess the order book is not yet open for the MY17 coupe, only the cabriolet which is arriving first apparently. He has my CC# on file but has not charged yet, since he cannot reserve the car to this point in time.
