2023 S Class 2013 SL
Trunk opening malfunction
2014 S Class. I have set the trunk opening setting to full and total opening. On using key fob or touching open button on drivers door, trunk opens full. On touching opening latch at trunk lip, trunk lid occasionally opens only 6-8".Service 'reset' trunk opening mechanism. Problem persists.

. Already saw dealer prior to posting.
Tech uses fob and button, no problem found. As I'm preparing to leave dealer he tries to open trunk and voila, it raises 8" only. Hence, SA says go reset opening mechanism. Problem persist intermittently.

I have a 2014, been to the dealer twice with exactly the same issue. Dealer couldn't duplicate. It's going in again for other issues as well on May 31.
Front tires severely worn on outsides.
Steering wheel doesn't reliably sense my hands are on the wheel. (3rd time to dealer)
Right rear mirror doesn't always return. (Have TSB for dealer this time.)

LI72.40-P-060887 222, 217, 205 passenger side outside mirror does not fully return to driving position from reverse drop down position, software remedy expected 5/15.
I haven't seen any follow up info.

I've also got a '14 S550, but my trunklid opens completely when I use the button under the trunk. However, when I kick my foot under the bumper it does not open. The only time that it did work was the night that we purchaed the car lol.

For a partial opening trunk here is a TSB that is very close to the same issue we are both having. Will bring this to MB service attn. They tend to not dig too deep and too long if the problem can`t be duplicated. (small dealer)
LI80.20-P-059363 JUL14 – 222 Remote trunk locking (code 881) trunk lid intermittently does not open/close completely accompanied symptoms: trunk lid control button illuminated and trunk lock switch indicates closed although trunk is open. Replace trunk lid lock.

Dealer installed TSB for right mirror return to fix issue with reverse setting not normalizing.
Dealer also ordered new trunk latch to fix issue with 25% trunk opening.
Thanks to konigstiger posting TSB's on this forum, when you give the TSB # to the dealer they get serious when they know you are.
They also found 2 software updates that apply to my car which seem really improved line sensing/autonomous steering or the dealer is out-psyching me.
