Blind-spot monitor help

I have a very rare breed of S-class. The 2016 S550e without any packages. Being without any packages, it lack blind-spot monitor. I'd like to get recommendations on a suitable aftermarket option for blind-spot monitor.

Thanks

Did you order it this way or did a dealer order it as a lost leader car?

A Plug-in hybrid in the US?

I don't think there is any way to reach the same functionality with an after market blind spot assist device, if one exists. You might find someone who can retrofit the OEM parts. Installation should be reasonable but version coding/activation asks for real expertise.

I've said this before in other threads...options can be done to factory spec, it's mostly just too cost prohibitive to do. Service people at dealerships will tell you at some point to just buy a different car with the options you seek.

Happened to me a couple times with Porsche. Learned a valuable lesson. Just buy the car with the options you want the first time...

Agreed, mostly at least. My intention was not to say retrofitting makes sense over purchasing another car. Some owners just want to do it even if it does not make sense (for most of us).

The one who wants to do it, should not visit any MB dealership but he/she should find an experienced expert who makes his living from retrofitted MB options.

I visited my dealer several times for retrofitting and they gave me a rather nice discount on parts. Unfortunately no one could do the retrofit except NLSteve(who I recommend you contact) who was a rather large distance away from me. With assistance from a local audio shop who came recommended and Mercedes I managed to complete it. I have a scanned copy of the S Class wiring diagrams if needed, but you wouldn't be able to interpret it without knowledge.

Thanks everyone. I was looking for a suggestion for an aftermarket solution to simply have a blind-spot monitor, without active assist.
