That was some of the most obnoxious music I've ever heard.

Looks like that car has the cheap seats haha. Aside from the extra ambient color choices, I think my '14 is still a great car. Warranty is out in April......so I'm trying to figure out what to do with it.......
The exterior does look great. I like the grill and even the wheels it comes with. The steering wheel, although very cool kind of reminds me of days past: kind of retro.......don't know why it reminds me of an old design.
Do I recall the HP was almost 500 now too?

According to this article 469 HP out of the new 4.0 so 20 more hp and better gas mileage because of cylinder deactivation, looks like around 30 us mpg highway or so. Pretty nice cars, but ya, really like my 2015 and will be driving it for at least the next few years.
For some reason I thought we had the cylinder de-ac as well.....damn.

My 560 is supposedly on the car carrier heading towards Baltimore. However when I track the car at WWL, it says it's on the Honor and arriving in Baltimore on September 13. But it's very confusing. It says it was loaded on the 28, but the Honor left the port on the 27th. Plus WWL schedule says it's going to Southampton then on to Baltimore. Right now the Honor is in Antwerp. The ARC schedule says the Honor gets in to Baltimore on the 28th. I hope it gets into Baltimore on the 13th.

Noticed on the MBUSA website that the wood/leather steering wheel is no longer a thing, except on the Maybach. Also looks like there are no 12 cylinder models offered.

It's the idiots in the MB IT department. The wood/leather steering wheel is still standard on all S Class sedans. The all leather wheel is a no cost option, but the IT wizards messed up the web site. I reported this to MBUSA when the 2018 models went up, but they can be very slow at fixing things.

From my experience of tracking my cars in the past: the loading day is not exact it could trail by a day--I have noticed this in the past when tracking my cars. Based on WWL schedule it gets in to Baltimore on the 12th (eta) 13th (etd). It may also get into Baltimore on the 28th on its way back from Galveston, TX (if it is allowed into that port based on the Hurricane Harvey disaster). These WWL ships usually take routes towards SC and TX and then pass back into Baltimore before going back to Europe (Bremerhaven).

For what its worth:
WWL owns 100% of ARC.
By merging ownerships, one company will own 100% of WWL, 80% of EUKOR* and 100% of ARC. In addition, to the ownership, we are merging our vessels and affected assets and liabilities. One common management is much more efficient than the existing structure with several owners and boards.
The company will be named Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics ASA.

AMG GTC Roadster, E63s Ed.1, M8 Comp. Coupe
This is strictly a delay from US agencies (DOT, EPA). This is partially due to required certifications and reporting/meeting fuel emissions, etc. but hold-back of cars with existing engines (like the SL's) appear to be red tape.
Or worse, some kind of punishment (this is me speaking now) or scrutiny due to the non-relevant VW Diesel scandal or simply disdain for German car imports. The VPC's are loaded with cars and I haven't seen delays like this in prior years...

Quick note on the video; non-US S-Class which has a slightly different options build than in the US.
US has the sport package which provides AMG-like bumpers (design varies from actual AMG bumpers), side skirts and wheels.
In Europe, this is called AMG line and AMG line Plus, which is much more extensive...
Same bumpers/skirts as in the US but you also get the actual AMG steering wheel, proper AMG front seats and AMG logo carpets.
Also more wheel options are available.

There are a some cars floating about direct from MBUSA, but actual MY18 S-Class builds are sitting at the VPC just like many other models (SL's, AMG GT, some E-Class models) for weeks and months on.
This is strictly a delay from US agencies (DOT, EPA). This is partially due to required certifications and reporting/meeting fuel emissions, etc. but hold-back of cars with existing engines (like the SL's) appear to be red tape.

The AMG GT engine are different due to the dry sump; the S560 is closer to power with the C63 but the engine is closest to the new E63 (with cylinder de-activation).
Just less power which can easily be fixed with a tune
Like the Maybach 650 engine, this one is build by MB instead of AMG.
