Ordering 2018 S63 - need help with interior
Torn between a) black exclusive Nappa upholstery with metalicized trim and b) porcelain/black upholstery with black headliner and flowing lines trim.
I am concerned about keeping white seats clean (Im a fanatic). Does anyone have opinions or experience with porcelain?
Thank you in advance for your responses!!

If you/your passengers wear jeans, porcelain may not be your best choice due to dye transfer. Even my wife's expensive black leather Ralph Lauren belts caused dye transfer in another Benz we owned with a similarly very light colored leather. Yes these seats can certainly be cleaned often, but the new car rougher feeling matte finish on the leather seats will disappear much faster with repeated cleanings. The porc/blk looks pretty, but may not be the most practical choice based on your affinity for cleanliness.
Congrats on the new 63 sedan, I'm contemplating switching an 18 550 coupe order to a 63, now that it has a better trans. PS I luv the flowing lines trim, ordered it in both my S coupes and received many compliments, but also like the metalicized trim.

I am a strong proponent of these interior colors and am very detail oriented. Our cars typically look new while we have them. The S-Class leather stains a little bit easier than the SL which has a sun reflective coating on it but they are easily maintainable. I wipe them down wet and just dry off and they stay matt looking. Don't use microfibers though which makes the leather shiny.
The black leather will wear better and looks good but it would be the last color I would select. Just too boring to me. Of course I have to say that after picking up a car with black interior
To my defense I can say that the car only came in that color...

By the way, despite the porcelain interior being more difficult to keep clean, it's just so stunning to me that I wouldn't order another car without it. I love that the seats, dash and door accents are white and everything else is black including the carpets and headliner. I'll be ordering my next with porcelain and the flowing lines accent wood. I haven't seen the flowing lines in person, but if it looks anything like the site, I'd imagine it's great.
