I'm SOL! My car was released to carrier this morning but as of that time it was not on the truck. So, basically there is no way it will be here by Saturday morning so I could take possession by later Saturday afternoon. Oh, well. I will have something great to look forward to when we return from Boston about September 27. Also, the GM told me they will not lower the trade-in price I was promised even though the 2014 S550 will have an additional 3,000+ miles on it.

CONGRATULATIONS on at least getting to the next step! That is awesome!! It is a bummer that you missed the timing by a day (UGH) BUT I think it's better to put the miles on the old car and then get rid of it. You will have a gorgeous shiny new one to look forward to and break in without too much wear and tear right off the bat.

Yahoo! I hope to get a time estimate from my SA tomorrow. Here is hoping I can pick her up this weekend. Then again, there are probably not enough car carrying trucks in California to distribute all these cars!

2018 S450, 2019 Range Rover LWB, 2015 Range Rover, 2019 S560 Cabriolet (awaiting delivery)
My '19 S560 Cabriolet arrived in Baltimore last week. Dealer told me yesterday that he heard it would be released "early October." When I heard the Fremantle Highway dropped it off last week, I was really hoping it would've been to my dealer in Michigan late this week/early next week. On standby here.....

I live in Baltimore and the dealer in Annapolis has 2 2019's in stock, marked as "just arrived" and showing the MSRP on both. So they are trickling out. I'm happy with my 4 month old 2018 though :}

Oooh! Were they the s-class? Or others? I think some were released a few weeks ago (the smaller models) and they seem to be making their way up the size ladder. Sigh. Poor folks who ordered AMGs. I hear those are super late to be released.

They are both S450 and lower end equip. One is Emerald Green with Beige/Brown interior for $102,745 and the other is black/black for $95,315.

Got it. Well my SA tells me the s560s are still not released here in Cali. The 450s were released to carriers yesterday so they will be making their way down over the next week I am sure...

Since I ordered my S63 in June for European Delivery and MBUSA Euro Delivery department told me in June that the earliest I could take delivery in Germany was late November to early December or about 6 months, I believe the delays for release have been in the works for some time--atleast for the S63 since the projected release is in November which ties to what I was told in June when I really wanted an October Euro Delivery. But then what do I know I am just speculating!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to take delivery until Friday the 28th since I’m I’m now in MA. Will be back in Des Moines by early Thursday evening. The drive out here on my 2014 S550 was very comfortable and without any incident. I imagine the new S450 will be even more comfortable with more safety features and awesome technology.

i can tell you why *i* went the s450 route instead of the s560 line. why not? after 25yrs+ of always buying the top of the line engine in these s-class cars - i thought - what the hell? why not try the new 6 cylinder. as streamliner says - the 560 has way more power than anyone can use - and i find - even in and around the hills of pittsburgh - the s450 has plenty of power. plus the local dealer is giving them away with crazy-assed incentive deals. so why not save a buck? and try something new? i love the car after almost 6mos of ownership - flawless. i’m never wanting for more of anything as this car is loaded up with standard equipment equivalent to the 560 as the only diff this year is engine displacement. everything else is equivalent between the two - unlike previous years. and i could care less about decklid number envy; those days of comparing my decklid “size’ to others are waaay over. love the car. plus it was in stock. and i don't have to wait 6mos for something that i can drive now. every day. besides - if i hated it - i trade it for the 560. but that couldn't be further from the truth; it’s boss. so there you go. carry on, lads. nothing more to see here.

2 less spark plugs to change on the 450, and of course it comes with an oil dipstick. As someone who works on my own cars, I think the 450 is easier to handle. I believe the 560 is the hot V turbo, and that is yet to be proven reliability wise (I could be wrong here).
I believe the main drawback is the stop start is rougher with the V6, but I'm defeating that anyways.
The best part? Gee, the V8 gets to 60 .3 seconds faster. That has got to be the worst 17,000$ difference in a sedan that I have seen and while on paper MPG for the V6 is close to the V8, as per C&D, it's 3mpg better. (I don't care about fuel mileage, but I know some people care so putting it on my post here)
