Has anyone seen any proposed prices for the Lucid Air Sedan? Also, What about service centers and after the sale care? Some of the business models for these start up EV companies scare me even if I was considering purchasing one of their cars. https://lucidmotors.com/

Servicing is a very sensible question. I don't know what Lucid's plans are, but this is what Polestar has said:
Polestar customers outside of the launch cities will be supported by the nearest Space and service center until a Space opens closer to their location.
For these customers, Polestar will offer a convenient home delivery and service program for all Polestar models. Any customer living within 150 miles of a Polestar Space can have their new car delivered to their door, and picked up for future servicing. The program enables customers to enjoy Polestar ownership without ever having to leave their homes, or until a closer Space opens, should they prefer to visit a physical Space.
For customers living beyond the 150-mile delivery radius, the closest Polestar Space will work to provide the most convenient solution for their needs.

The Automotive News article I linked had this: "Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson told Reuters the Air initially will be priced "well north of" $100,000 but said lower-priced versions would arrive later." ...which I presume to mean smaller battery, slower versions.
Yesterday we saw a Porsche Taycan "Turbo" at lunch ... wife says, how much is that? I told her I thought at least $186,000 and she says "who would pay that, you could buy two nice CPO S-class sedans for that!"

Thought this article pretty interesting. Tesla had been criticized for a lack of repeatability in acceleration times, and in a recent test C&D had found that after a couple runs in the mid-2 sec range, 0-60, the Model S Performance would worsen to more like 6 sec. But a recent software update changed things...after 2 runs in the mid-2s, runs 3-15 were in the range of 2.7-3.8 sec each. That's versus 6 sec. Not bad for a software change!

So, this thread is supposed to be about hybrids too. The MT article posted by ajm0623 in the W223 thread had some great info on the PHEV W223:
"...the top regular S-Class in the U.S. will be the S580e, which combines a 362-hp version of the M256 inline six with a 140-hp e-motor to give a total system output of close to 500 hp and the same 516 lb-ft of torque as the V-8-powered S580. With its 28-kWh battery, the S580e should be able to cover up to 60 miles on pure electric power, more than double the range of the 2020 S560e PHEV....a lot of work has been done to package the rear axle lower in the body so the plug-in-hybrid version can carry a 28-kWh battery without impinging on trunk space."

EV depreciation
Average EV depreciation is worse than for ICE vehicles, but that is because of the $7500 federal tax credit, explained below. Interestingly, Teslas hold up very well, particularly the Model 3:
I watched the livestream. Impressive EV but as a luxury car I find it a bit disappointing. I don’t like the styling first of all. And the interior while better than Tesla, is not Mercedes quality.
I will hold out for the EQS or a larger Porsche EV.

Agreed, I'm not planning to buy a Lucid myself. I do like the roof, though.

The reason the Tesla's hold their value well is because even the older ones have outstanding range compared with most of the non-Tesla products. The rest of the industry started with poor product and has been playing catch up so their products end up being archaic and underperforming relative to newer products.
I think the EQC, Audi eTron and Porsche Taycan will take a hit in a couple of years for the same reasons.

I think that you already see that in the used Audi eTron market.

That's true. and the i-Pace too. Only the Taycan is holding up and I'm certain that will change. It's priced like a Panamera but is sized like a model below the Panamera, and has low range for an EV. That won't play out well once the new-ness wears off and better products hit the market.

Yes. I actually really like the E-Tron but it will need to be heavily discounted in the used market for me to consider one with the ~200 mile range. You have this vehicle that is road trip ready except you can't get anywhere.
