Comfortable and Quiet tires

Although I have a 2010 E350, I thought some members here might have good advice on tires for my car. At the point where I need to replace my tires due to age, only 30,000 miles. Longevity and fuel economy are not important to me. Nor is performance. Need a good All Season tire that rides comfortably and quietly. OEM tires are Michellin Primacy MXM4's on 17" wheels. Car has comfort suspension. The current tires are very noisy, often making conversation impossible on less than perfect roads. In addition, the ride is not all that comfortable.
Checked Tire Rack, but their latest system is confusing. Appears though Pirelli Centurato P7 as best or maybe Goodyear Assuarance Comfotred Touring. They also mention Michellin MXV4, but I never have liked Michellins I had on any car.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Avoid Pirelli. Too many quality problems.

The Serenity Plus is my all time favorite tire. I have them on my S560. However, if I am not mistaken, they are not made in a size that will fit an E Class. We have MXM4’s on my wife’s E350. They are quiet and I believe the best tire for the car.

What size did you get for your 2015 S550? I can't find them for mine on Tire Rack or at Bridgestone with the 20" tires on the AMG Sport Pkg.?

I ordered both my 2015 S550 and now my 2018 S560 with 18” wheels. Like the OP, ride quality, comfort and silence are paramount to me and the smaller wheels, with deeper sidewall tires offer the best outcome. I have 245/50 R18 tires.

I wanted another set of DWS on my E550, but the dealer talked me into the PROCONTACT grand touring all-season. They are definitely quieter and smoother than the DWS I had before, although grip is less. This is probably less of an issue on a 350 than with my 550 and lead foot.

Thanks, my car came with Michellin Primacy MXM4's and they are very uncomfortable and noisy. Of course, these are 2009 tires so maybe Michellin makes them better now. Ironically best riding/qietest tires I have found in the past were Dunlops, but these were for light trucks and SUV's.

I replaced the Continentals with a new set of Yokahama Advan S.4.s. Great tires, but I would still feel a slight vibration on the same highway roads mentioned earlier.

A few months ago, I replaced the Yokohama's with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. The vibrations are now completely gone. I didn't change anything else and that includes the installer of the tires. Also, I always had the vehicle aligned at the dealer after tire installation.
Quoting the above from another thread. I've read before if vibrations are still there and everything else is checked and no issues that Michelin as last resort can fix vibrations. I've read this quite a few times.

In the past when I spoke to a Michelin rep he explained how other manufacturers use multiple pieces when the tires are glued together and they don't use as many pieces. Maybe this is part of the reason - or that that Michelin has more money for R&D than most others out there. It's the Michelin A/S 3+ which was re-done just a year ago. Couldn't be happier, super smooth, and look great.

The MXM4s, non runflats, are great on my W204, and I am VERY picky. I have read this multiple times about the RFTs one though being noisy.

How many miles do you have on your tires?

Since they don’t make the Bridgestone Serenity Tires for my SL, I put the A/S 3+ tires on and have been very pleased with them. Of course, I am taking a bit of a chance, not running run flats and no place for a spare, but the SL is rarely driven and never travels far from home, so it’s not a huge problem.

Cool Stream. Yea, and I went from 19" tires, factory conti's, to the A/S 3+ in a 20" and swear the car rides smoother.

Michellin pilot 4s. Best. Smoothest. Quietest. Hands down.

I ran pirellis non run flats. Loud after 10k.
I ran bstones non runflats. Loud and hard. Handle good. Better than pirellis. Replaced after 15k due to tire wear

went 4s. Clearly best tire. Hands down

I had the pilot 4s for 2 days I didn’t like them. I like the 3s better because they have an accosiatic foam inside which helps reduce tire noice significantly. Yes, I will say the 4s has a little better grip( not significant ) but the loss in ride quality and the higher noise was not worth it. I changed it immediately .

I think people are going to get confused. If you want one of the best rated all season tires, it's the A/S 3+. If you want the best high speed it's the 3's or 4's.
