No, I think what will happen is that starting in the 2020-2022 timeframe, there will be an EQ S, on par with the traditional S-Class in terms of size and luxury, that will be sold alongside the W223. The W223 might be offered I am guessing as at least mild-hybrid, imo.

The new factory 56 will contain the new gen S Class (gas) and the the line up of EQ cars to include a EQ S.

They stopped the line of Hybrids for the full EVs. If it is 2022, they should at least offer Hybrids with bigger kWh (not just 21 miles but a bit longer range) until 2021.
Currently there aren't much of the used Hybrids in market, if they have, not much features/packages in them.

There will be a full electric S and hybrids.
Current S65 will be a 4.0 l V8 with electric motor for a total 800hp plus, called S73.
Not the end of the World yet......

I don't think so but instead of focusing on electrics why don't car manufacturers invest on hydrogen is beyond my apprehension .It's also emitting 0 emission yet can be filled up as quickly as gasoline powered cars
