SL65 prices on the rise
Apologies for throwing this out on this forum but seems very few folks are active on the SL forum and some of you guys have SLs and are very active.
I’m seeing a significant uptick on selling prices of 2013 and newer SL65s all of a sudden. Perhaps due to the pending end of the V12 and the SLs as we know them? Any other thoughts?

2020 S560 Sedan, 2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, '24 BMW I7 on order...
I’ve owned 7 SL’s, five being new ones. These are wonderful cars, but anyone buying one to go really quick or really fast, IMO, is just nuts. These cars were designed to be heavy, comfortable, luxury cruisers and the non-AMG V8’s are utterly sufficient motive power. To stuff the AMG V12 into one, just doesn’t make any sense to me. For less money, you can have a nice 911 Turbo S that will blow the doors off the SL65–and do it with zero drama. For way less money, you can get a new Corvette Z06 that will embarrass the SL65. So, why? Get a nice SL550 and enjoy the bargain priced, very luxurious ride and let the boy racers kill themselves trying to actually use all that V12 torque & horsepower on the same streets you are cruising down. And, don’t forget, when repair time comes around, those AMG V12’s are very high maintenance—not to mention depreciation. Anyone hear a boulder falling off a cliff?

Don't know about any increase in the resale value of used R231 SL65's. I can confirm the SL65 has been discontinued. I placed an order for one on 3/7 but it was after the final build date for the SL65.

The V12 isn’t about speed as it is about the driving experience. It is somewhat old school with it high torque engine, simple tranny and beautiful interior.
We we have had a V12TT SL600 (2005) and even our Sl550 runs circles around the car in terms of performance but the torque delivery was unmatched. Just smile inducing
Plus I love the AMG interior with the diamond stitching and leather headliner.
If you are willing to spend the extra money it is a very rewarding driving experience...

While I understand your reasoning I do beg to differ. The SL65 actually is a perfect fit for a grand cruiser. More so than the SL63 which is much more aggressive in its demeanor.
