K&N filters
Anyone running these in your S. Just ordered a set. I have had them in the past and they are a good quality filter that can be cleaned and reused.

OEM filters are not that expensive, and no real gain with the K&N.... Lots of people mess up the Mass Airflow Sensor by not properly cleaning and oiling them. No real gain for me. Be careful with the MAS..

K&N have no advantage, apart from the "convenience" of cleaning and oiling them and maybe saving money in a period longer than you will keep the car anyway.
Bought K&N for my AMG, got rid of it later.

Installed the K&N filters last night. Old ones were pretty dirty after only 21K miles. Not sure if it was the dirt level in the old ones but I did notice a difference with the new ones. Drove it today and I did notice a difference, car feels more crisp and stronger on acceleration and I can hear a little growl from the motor. Post all the smart *** comments you want, I think it was worth 100 bucks. Oh, and Happy Fathers day to all the dads.

I have K&N filters on my S550e Plug-In. No difference... I've always just put them on all of my cars. Dealer installed them for free and took 10 mins max. They gave me the original filters back and said keep them for awhile in case the check engine light comes on. It never did.
