Ordered Michelin A/S 3's from Tire Rack
I just ordered the Michelin A/S 3's and received a call from the Tire Rack representative stating that the tires are not XL (extra load) per the manufacturer and he needed to speak with me before releasing the order. So I mentioned to him that I want conventional tires and he agreed that the run flats ride hard and don't last as long. He went and pushed the order thru. Now i'm working on getting that spare tire that I know i'll need. I driving my '87 420 SEL until I have everything in order with the tires first. Thanks.

why does a cpo s class need tires? ps the runflats arent that bad to change tires that are new. maybe when its time for new ones.

I know my driving style and I could tell the RF's were affecting that. I may be able to sell them on Ebay and recover some cash.

from my experience it is not, most local tire places can meet those prices or beat them and they will mount and balance. By me if you dont get the tires there they usually charge 25-35 per tire. I dont see any savings from getting from tire rack.

My order states that the Road Hazard is free for 2 years! I like the convenience of Tire Rack where I can place the order have the tires delivered to my installer, set up an appointment for the installation and then move on with my life.

I was about to order from tire rack but then my dealer started offering them and the price diff was negligible.
I figure since i dont have a spare if i get a flat the dealer may stock the tire and easy swap and if not they can give me a loaner.
i know tire rack has road hazard but how does replacement work if you get a flat. Most tires stores dont stock them so does tire rack have to send them a replacement. Assume it would take a couple days at least.

Michelin has a 30 days satisfaction guarantee. If you don’t like them, get the Michelin PS4S like I just did. You’ll need the XL. On my S63, it needs to have a speed rating of 101Y and 104Y.
