Yeah, surely BMW could have done a better job with this LCI. I do not want my 760 looking like an X7. If you think the front looks bad, well, the side looks worse. They bent the hockey stick into a right angle.
Just totally ruins the lines of the car. Hopefully they figure this out in 3 years when I am back in the marketplace.
Sad, they should talk to us instead! We'd help them design this. When I went to the Welt for the first time ever last month to see everything, I asked where is the new 7 series? The guy looked at the floor then looked up "uh, well, we're redesigning the showroom a bit and don't have one out now". What? Yeah, so... that is not cool. Maybe they were embarrassed that they don't look that great anymore? The Roll's looked SO COOL to me, not "cool like I must have one" but "cool and they're for super rich f'ers". It was such a blast checking them out. Poor 7 series. After the E38 (2001 7 series), to my eye, they haven't designed so many great 7's since then.
Look at this interior’s stitching pattern that carries over to the armrests-god this is awful and way overdone. This is not luxurious to me. Certainly not sporty which is what I want in my BMW. I hope this is not part of the individual full merino package on the M760!
Considered and test drove a new 7 Series before I bought my S. Complete junk and awful interior. Salesman admitted the S interior is nicer but kept calling me back and begging for a sale.

As someone who has owned six, twelve cylinder BMW’s, I can tell you that I have really TRIED to love the current 7 Series, but it just doesn’t happen. The interiors are too busy, the ride does not compare with the S Class and the exterior styling as of late has been choppy and uninspired. Mind you, I am less than thrilled with the W222 exterior styling, but at least it flows and works. I don’t think there are many on the BMW boards who are going to be thrilled with this “refreshed” 7 either. It looks like the folks in Munich are just trying too hard. Simple and elegant is what should inspire big, luxury saloon design. The beachball size kidneys remind me of a middle aged woman who has been a 34B all her life, going in for a “lift” and coming out a 38DD. It just doesn’t work.

Not a fan of the diamond stitching on the Mercedes dash and this quilted extended leather looks even worse in a BMW. I own a one month old 2019 BMW M760 (which I love!). I certainly have the right to call BMW out on this! I want my BMW 7er looking like a BMW, not looking like an over done baroque S Class to attract chinese buyers!

The 7 is certainly not “complete junk and awful interior.” I would put my 760 with individual full merino leather, alcantara headliner, Bowers & Wilkins stereo, LED pano moonroof, et al against EVERY Mercedes S Class interior.

760 is an awesome car--I still think my '19 S63 is nicer But when you come up for a Penguins game like you said I think I can convince you the S63 is a better car
I did consider the 760M. I drove it on the BMW performance track in South Carolina in May 2018 when I completed a two day BMW performance school class--put that big 12 cylinder through the paces. I am an MB fan but for those who have not driven a 760M you really don't know what you are missing--it is a sweet car. Just an opinion from an MB fanatic. Rockland has an awesome car.

+1 I hated that on my coupes, wish it were console mounted.
I had a 2015 750Li and it was one of my top 3 favorite cars of all time. I think that was their last best looking model. I wish I had kept it longer (was a 3 year lease and I should have just now let it go). As far as the new grille, I think it is OK in its width. It's the height of it that makes it look wrong.
