Replacing a lost Smart Key FOB - Page 2

In a Key Fob related question I received a "Replace Key Fob Battery" message the other day. I replaced the battery and everything is working fine but the message is still appearing. I have been trying to figure out how to clear the message but no luck. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? I would place the fob on or near the spot on the dashboard as if you needed to start the car if the fob battery was dead. This helped me in the past when I had a fob that wasn?t recognizable.

I think you may be correct about my replacement battery being bad even though it was brand new, still in the package. When I took my spare key fob out and started the car the message was gone. When I took my regular key fob ( with the supposed new replacement battery installed) out to start the car, the message reappeared. I'll buy some new batteries tomorrow and try again. Thanks for your help.
