Maybach S550
VERY VERY SLOW WIFI
Hi everyone,

i have a 2017 Maybach S550, and I have WiFi in the car which is very, very slow. When I test it using the SpeedSmart app, it shows the speed is a mere 1-2 Mbps. I actually have faster upload speeds than download.

hhmm, what cell service is it using ? 3g is around 1mb up.down, 4g or LTE can be much higher...

you need to see if the plan is 3g or 4g(LTE) that could be the difference in your speed.

Thank you for the reply.

When I call Embrace, I am being told it’s 4G. However, when I take it to the dealership, their service department says it’s only 3G.

18 AMG GTC and 22 F150 Limited. Past owner 16 Maybach, 17 Brabus Smartcar, 06 Ford E150, and 22 G70
MY 16 Maybach was also slow. If I recall it runs at 3g which is really strange considering 4g has been out for a good while. I never paid for it after the free trial just not worth it.

Also trialing Mbrace and can’t believe a Mercedes S class only has a 3g modem. Why would customers pay for this service when most cell phones are running 4g LTE and transitioning to 5g?
