My dealer has an S 560 "Concours Edition" on the showroom floor. The MSRP is just north of $158,000. Special paint (dark blue metallic) and tan interior. Special multi spoke wheels. MB messed up what could have been a beautiful interior (think Bentley) by mixing black surfaces with the tan seats and door cards. I have been told there will only be 100 units??? Sounds like a pretty stiff premium for special exterior color, wheels and a poorly designed interior color mismatch. Anyone seen one of these?
the paint colour is actually "magnetite black," which is a dark grey, not dark blue. and the concours s edition adds ~$42,000+ to the options list. i've not seen one in-person - only in pictures at various dealers' websites. imo, the saddle colour interiour that is featured on this concours s should have been one of the standard colours offered throughout the 222's lifespan - not a special edition-only colour in 2019 only. so here's to hoping that the 2021 223 will have saddle as a choice - like so many shades of boring beige we have now.
Visited the dealership today and was able to spend a little more time looking at the Concours edition. It is an interesting, luxurious iteration of the S Class. As much as I like it I can't justify the $42K premium, even if it is 1 of 100. It comes with three different sets of floor mats. One set in plain black; one black with tan edging and one set in tan leather with diamond pattern. The special wheels are exquisite and look like jewelry. The special texture of the upgraded leather is something to behold. But all said and done....not $42K worth of upgrades IMO. A couple of sales reps indicated that the typical S Class buyers are not impressed and think it a little over the top. To each his own I guess.
$42,000 is A LOT for the concours s *option.* full stop. to put it in perspective, you could completely kit out an entry-level a-class for your kids for that price allowing you to have the s-class AND a fully-loaded a220 4matic for the price of what? exclusivity of owning 1 of 100, fancy wheels, three leather trimmed sets of floor mats and specially-coloured saddle leather (which should have been a standard colour offering on all s-classes, but i'll get off my soapbox on that one). sounds very expensive. and the owners of such "bespoke" builds won't see a return on that money at trade-in time, either; this edition will be depreciate equally as bad as they all do.

It's a beautiful car. BUT, they do not come with Magic Body Control (MBC), which to my way of thinking is just INSANE! MBC is one of the, very best options you can get on an S Class. In addition, the wheels are 20" which look great, but really diminish ride quality, which is something I really would not want on an S Class. The interior is very nice, but once again, MB has--in my opinion--"CHEAPED OUT" by making much of the interior black. If they had made this interior all the beautiful saddle color, perhaps with a small amount of another, complimentary color, it would have really been special. Bottom line for me is that it is a nice car that misses the mark, for such a premium price.
Actually the one I looked at had the MBC option. The price was a little higher, slightly north of $158,000. Interesting that they would not have the same options on such a limited edition model. I agree wholeheartedly with the poor interior color choices. MB interior designers seem to struggle in that area. Well, this iteration of the S Class is not for me so I guess it makes the discussion academic.
pdeacon - the one you saw probably had the 4matic option, which increases the price by $3,000+/-. none of them come with mbc, as i recall. 1/2 of the 100 were 4matic; the other 1/2 were not (like the one stream shows above).

Yes, you are correct. It is a 4matic. I think I confused the MBC with air ride suspension. The car has been sitting in the showroom for some time and it settled on the suspension and actually looks like it has been lowered. Thanks for the clarification.
I sat in one last week at my local dealer. I told the salesman it was nice and then looked at the sticker (not knowing the special edition). I double checked that it wasn’t an S63 and saw the special option price. I looked at the salesman and lightly chuckled. He did as well and then told me, yeah, everyone kinda laughs when they see the price. I guess MB figured there has to be 100 suckers out there with wayyyyy too much money...

The problem is, even when you have too much money, why would you spend it on a lesser model instead of spending it on a higher one (S63)?
Truly a pointless exercise from MB......

I agree completely. . I would be embarrassed for anyone to know I bought it, to be quite honest with you.
Also , if that is a brand new car, that screen looks filthy.
