Brake noise when releasing pedal
Brake pads and rotors are pretty new, only 3k on them and all OEM. Everything looks OK with no premature wear.
I am getting a noise, which the best way to describe it is a screeching sound when only when letting off the brake pedal. This occurs no matter the condition, wet,dry, cold or warmed up. No noise or shaking when actual braking...just when at idle and letting off the pedal.
What do y'all think? Thanks.

My 21015 S-600 makes a tiny noise as I let off the brakes, I get kind of a shudder. This is because in the last moment as the brakes are released, the power from the idling engine is trying to make the car creep forward. It is just a touch louder if I double hit the brakes and the brakes are in "hold mode" until I toe in some gas.

Brake drag. Most common cause is non-OEM brake pads. Another common cause is inadequate use of lubrication where lube is needed (shims, contact points). A much less common cause is an actual problem with your brake cylinder. How long does the noise last?

I have OEM pads and rotors. That’s why I had them test drive, but they always said normal and is the brake caliper releasing.

Perhaps the anti rattle clips were installed wrong, reused worn out ones, or not at all. Probably worth the time to take off the wheels and with a screw driver see if the pads are loose when no brake pedal applied. Willing to bet they are able to be jiggled around. Furthermore on the some brakes there are areas that need small amounts of lube applied. I can think of instances where PINS go through the pads to hold them in position and those pins need lube.
