Hey, did you ever figure how to resolve this issue? I just purchased the taillights and am having the exact same issue.
Did you purchase OEM tail lights? If so, those won't work as the wiring/Can bus is different. You need to purchase the aftermarket tail lights which are plug and play. You can find them on Evil-bay for around $500 a pair.

I ordered aftermarkets from eBay, same as the original poster did and am having his exact issue. They are plug and play, but when you put your turn signal on, they work as they should then after about 10 seconds, the turn signal indicator on the dash blinks really fast and you get the error like the original poster posted. The company from eBay has sent me two sets of taillights and they both do this. Maybe it's an issue with the S63's (which I and the original poster have) and not the S550's?
I'm at a loss, so any insight from anyone would greatly help.

I purchase the evil bay lights but didn't do the entire facelift for ab 6months.....after which the seller won't honor a warranty. All features work but get error codes.

I also changed new 2018 rear lights on 2015 w222, works perfect but give all error codes for rear lights. Finally did programming from a local private workshop and all cleared. Here in UAE they charge 500-1000 dirhams for this work
