Common on what? The W222? We have not seen any major failure/common issues on those yet, just one pump replacement, IIRC... Serviced one a few weeks ago with 77k on it and no issues in history relating to suspension. So far, so good... but as anything ages, stuff will break.
Possibly used to be the case, not anymore.
Usually it's the airbags themselves that fail, and now almost DIY replacement with Arnott bags at much lower cost.
77K on my GL350 Blutec with Airmatic, no repairs needed.

Arnott air struts are not as good as OEM, on Lexus vehicles anyway. They lack the continually adaptive damping that the system uses and in lieu use a cheaper, single damping profile. Maybe this is different on their MB replacements but I doubt it.Originally Posted by Todd in PA
