Weak heat on a cold day?
So it was 15* this morning so I started my car and let it run with the heat on full blast, auto mode, with the interior air recirculation button on. 10 minutes later and my car is still pretty damn cold. I even changed the vent settings so that it would blow out of the front vents which gave me warmish/hot air but the flow of air was not impressive. Is this normal? I feel like last winter it was much more impressive...

Conclusion, if it's working but not up to a nearly perfect standards then it's okay. If it doesn't heat at all and u feel it's too weak, I would take to service so they can look at it. In general, W222 doesn't have an impressive AC

5 min is pretty long enough, the W222 should start blowing hot air in 5 min (actually right about 5min should be already hot enough). fist 2-3 min are just warming up, but 5 min is enough.

Just my 2 cents, I don't think anything is wrong, one thing I noticed with this W222 compared to other cars is that the AC (in both heating and cooling mode) tends to be not that strong. I have a lexus LS and was used to the impressive AC, when I compare it to W222 after I got it, the first thing I notice is the qualify of the air conditioning system. It works fine but not as strong as some other high end cars.

Have you replaced your Cabin Filters? For sure would affect airflow. I also think that W222 has a Electric Pump that controls Cabin Heating as a priority. Can anyone confirm that this is no way like a standard configuration with Water pump that will circulate through the whole system with just a thermostat.

You can set one of 3 air flow settings within the Comand config. Something like Direct, Medium, Diffuse. My understanding that these kick in when you are selecting the Auto function for HVAC.
