It's $150 for the 2020. I texted the guy at the company, says they are located in Canada. Has anyone used this company? Dealer gets $300 and a lot of wasted time waiting.https://mbnavupdate.com

Please let us know if this works for you. It is certainly needed since MBZ is a bit behind in releasing updates and they cost too much.

I was hoping somebody else would be the gueni pig lol. It looks to be legit but I wish the Co was in the USA I’d feel a little more comfortable.

I think they are probably legit. I’m hesitating a little as I’m not all that computer savvy and nervous to load the update onto a usb from my Mac. It’s probably easy just never done that before. Not sure what to key in to get the file to load onto the usb stick.

Three points to share:

1. MB NAV performance is at best 90% accurate...don't trust if time is of the essence or for traffic related issues...this technology is not in Mercedes core wheel-house
a. I do like transmitting a destination address from the laptop app to vehicle the evening before...
2. If I have an important meeting or need to get to the ATL or corp/charter regional airport, I use Waze...hands down
3. My dealer installs new NAV updates for us even after 3 year ownership period at N/C...possibly because we purchased MB extended warranty 7 years/75K miles.

Cheers

If you search the other forums, I think someone else has used it on a different model and it was fine. Basically MB gets to charge for a copy of the software, the labor at the dealer to install it and generating the pin code. So you're basically getting the software to install yourself so you save the labor and the company is basically providing the pin code to activate the software.

I purchased it for my vehicle and had no issues with download. I chose to have them send me the USB.

when you get ready to install, they give you a link to live chat and at that time they give you the License Key to enter. They also email it to you.

took about 30 minutes to complete. I kept the car running the entire time......

def beats the stealership price.

I used the Navi once and had to use exact addresses to use it, too cumbersome compared to waze. Now you can use Siri with Waze and it's flawless. I guess satellite equipped Navi would only come in handy if we all lost cell data.

Not really. With Google maps, you can download maps via wifi to use them offline. You just lose traffic data if you don't have any cell data, but phone navigation would still work even if you had no cell data or wifi data.

I have 2015 so I'm assuming that's inapplicable to me. Would be nice tho!

I was referring to using your cell phone, you can download a predefined area in google maps via wifi so that navigation will work even without cell towers. But in case you were thinking about Android Auto or Apple Carplay, yeah, that's not available for your year, had to be 2016+ although you could retrofit it. That's a project covered in a different thread.

I used these folks today for my 2014 S550.

Went very smooth, I did the down load approach and used a 32GB USB stick I had, need to format for NTSF.

Very satisfied!

that’s good to hear. I purchased USB from them last year for my MY2015 and it went smoothly. I just ordered and received USB for my MY2018 and it can’t read the USB. They said they will send me another USB. Don’t know why it didn’t work this time unless they didn’t do something right when putting on USB. So I will see how this turns out. Hopefully it’s not my car that is the problem. I use the USB for charging phone and apple car play and it works.
