First Mercedes. What should I modify? LOL
I just bought my first Mercedes, over the phone. It's for my wife actually.
2017 S550 with 10,700 miles on the clock
Premium Package
Warmth & Comfort Package
Driver Assistance Package
Surround View
Comfort Box (in trunk)
I found out after buying it, that it's the last year with the bigger engine,.. and the first year with the 9-speed. Not sure if that's good or bad.
Based on my thread reading so far, I have ordered up;
-A pair of the rotating tweeters. (I figure this interior is big on "theater". Might as well take it to it's logical conclusion.)
-A Stage 2 flash from Eurocharged. +130 hp and 180 ft lbs apparently, for a total of 580 hp / 695 ft lbs ?
-And a bottle of the Urban Naturals, Warm Vanilla Amber scented oil for the fragrance system, to replace whatever is in there now.
Anything else people like to do?
Do we think Mercedes will ever release All Weather floor mats for this car in the light grey? They seem available for E-Class etc,.. but for this chassis, I can only find black.

That said, my wife only drives about 5,500 miles a year.
When she drove more, I used to have the front side glass in her cars done with Huper Optik.
Huper Optik was by FAR the best stuff made years ago. now some others are catching up. It was designed in conjunction with Mercedes. They were a ceramic that wouldn't scratch in the Merc's tight window clearances.
I like the Single Pane KLAR85 for windshields, and perhaps the Single Pane Sech for the front sides.
Top of the first grid for the Sech,.. and bottom of the third grid for the Klar85.

My only wish is for a spare tire as I make long hauls where service is minimal at best.
Car is a super sonic brick on glass. You will love it.
Went out to do some 0-60 tests this afternoon and recorded a 4.05 sec 0-60 run with a 12" rollout (4.46 sec actual)
Conditions = 85 F ambient, 47% humid, 850' elevation.
I also have race car scales,.. so I put it on the scales with 50% fuel, and the car came in at 4,891 lbs. With 53.52% front , and 46.47% on the rear.
Here's a couple of pics.
Selenite Grey over,... Grey. (Light grey int) Sounds boring,. but the interior is pretty sweet, especially at night with the ambient lighting on.
