Why did MB so obviously ruin the new S Class? After watching this review, NEVER!

I stopped using my Blackberry and started using an iPhone because Blackberry made a corporate decision to stop updating their software. Thus my Calendar and Contacts no longer synched. The Blackberry was a superior product in many ways, particularly security. But I had to consider the day-to-day practical aspects.

VERY kind of you gents! I only shared that to support my 'I'm getting old' sentiment. In reality: I gave the cancer to MYSELF by smoking for many years! I haven't had a pity party for myself
because I earned it.......STILL......very kind of you guys to wish me luck.....FWIW, smoking was my only vice, never been into drinking or drugs, or even over eating! I'll never know what it was about the cigarettes either.........I just really enjoyed having a smoke!
Respect guys!

First- I have never cared for the round vents- they are a little too retro for me. But that being said I prefer the upper picture with zero exposure to the lower picture. I will reserve judgement until I have had a chance to sit in the 223 and get used to it.

Take the 223 interior, delete the center touchscreen. Continue the horizontal lines/wood veneer behind it and incorporate vertical vents like the ones on the sides of the dash and that would be a good start. Still would like some sort of "finishing" around the gauge screen and something to address that huge HUD area.

Wonder if they slapped the ipad in there, then designed the rest of the interior around it.....those air vents in the center are pointed right at the face of the driver and passenger? Seems kind of highly placed The more I look at it, the more I do not really like it. not as if I'll be buying one anyway so my opinion counts for very little.

The other thing that bothers me is the lack of symmetry. The vents for instance are off center of the screen.

No more MB:(
All they needed to do is integrate the screen and such an improvement. I can't understand MB's decision to "float or attach"" the screens pretty much across the entire brand. Such a fail IMO, interiors would look so much cleaner and elegant.

No problem with my argument at all. We are talking primarily about screen vs buttons. If you talk about the steering wheel & seat buttons becoming capacitive I have no opinion thus far and neither can you, given that neither of us have tried them. We'll just have to see.
I personally like the tactile experience of a physical button but a capacitive button will be more reliable over time. I am personally not bothered by the capacitive buttons we have on our steering wheels already (2 trackpads).

Of course I am being somewhat flippant, but this is how it comes across when your posts lack critical thought about your favorite brand. The Internet calls people who do this fanbois.

Understood. MB is switching to capacitive buttons, so they're the best thing ever. And if they switch back to real buttons, they will be the best thing ever.

That is a handsome car. But I find a lot of what BMW is churning out right now to be downright ugly....like the new grille on the 4 series... My goodness. Remember the E46 ? What a handsome car that was.
