I have been recently thinking about Tuning my S560 with RENNTECH before moving to New York. Does any of you have personal experience with this company?
I also want to know if this will change the engine noise!

Sorry, no experience here. The thing that has always given me pause about tuning the S560/S550 (aside from the fact that it's damn fast as is) is that the transmission is only rated by MB up to 516 ft lbs, and these tunes go way past that. I own my car, so the prospect of non-warranty repair for a transmission is not worth a few tenths to me. But that's just my value judgment.
And you can look at the S63 forum as well, many more people tuning there. At least you can compare service, quality of support etc. The fact of the matter is if you grenade your engine and it is tuned you are SOL. Dont let anybody tell you otherwise. Do you think a MB dealer that installed your Renntech tune is going to buck up to replace an engine? No, they will not. It is exceedingly rare but it does happen. Audi 4.0 engines were having turbo failures when tuned, do you think APR or the dealers stood by them?? NO! I got rid of my tuned A8 and went to a stock S550, fast enough for me! If I wanted faster I would have gone S63 or E63. That all my 2 cents of course.
Just my S63 tuned by Renntech with the handheld OBD2 tuner. Added the air filters and their mufflers as well. Freaking AMAZING. Power delivery is so smooth and linear now and on demand. It's a totally different car. My Mercedes Dealer took great care of me on this.
Just curious if you tuned your s 560? I have a 2019 s 560 as well and have been going back and fourth whether or not i should do the tune. I still have factory warranty for over another year and am also curious if you had any issues also if your factory warranty has been voided ?

Would you risk it? And would the gains be worth it?
Just understand NY has adopted CA emissions standards which mandate a smog test every 2 years, and they now look for a change in the stock tune to FAIL you.
To my knowledge only these guys have CA smog legal tunes.
I've had a tune on my 2016 from OE for 2 years, ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES and love it, not smog legal but they offer a hand held tuner to hold your stock tune. Up load the stock tune while smogging and it holds your performance tune and a race 93 octane tune, finish the smog and up load the perf tune.
