My S550 has been sitting since about July 10, 2022. I'm currently battling some serious cancer issues. My wife went out to start the car this morning using push button start, but the car never cranked over, she said the "Red Battery Light Warning" appeared on the dash! I have had no battery indicator issues since I last drove the car on July 10, 2022, even then when driving, there were no warning lights at all on the dash. Currently, my mobility is very limited from my cancer issues, so my driving privilege's have been removed. I'm wondering what would be the best way to attack this since my Son will probably have to be the one who will be handling this stuff for me. I'm wondering if this is a simple test battery level, charge up (if needed), etc.
Please chime in with your thoughts. Thank you in advance!

So sorry to hear about your condition. I'm wishing you speedy recovery and lots of health. I'm sure the battery is the last issue you wanna currently hear.
Ask your son to start the car using any jump starter and then drive to any AoutZone store where they can measure the battery voltage. Most likely he will need to buy any of the chargers they sell and connect it to the battery for about 12 hours.
Feel better.

I believe Mercedes Roadside Assistance can replace the battery for you at your own home. It may be slightly more expensive than a trip to Autozone, but it will be the easiest (least hassle for everyone) option.
Sorry to read about your health issues; I wish you the best.

I doubt that. Mercedes uses internal resistance numbers to rate a batteries state. But you may buy a new battery from them. Love your “lend someone $20.00” signature. Reminds me of a lending incident long long ago and you are right. 😎

UPDATE!!! Had my Son go out and try the car and it started immediately with no Warning Lights or anything. Going to have things tested as we are heading into the winter months. Thanks all!
